Position Overview Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Application Analyst, EMR/Cerner Implementation to join our team. The Application Analyst acts as a clinical liaison between the Corporate IS Department and the BH facility, performing duties associated with the implementation, support, and maintenance of all aspects of the clinical information system. This role includes basic computer and peripheral troubleshooting, problem tracking and resolution, enhancement requests, active participation in system testing, workflow redesign, change management, and ongoing Cerner education for facility employees and physicians. The analyst will also act as a clinical liaison between the Corporate IS Department and the BH facility and will provide basic computer and peripheral troubleshooting support. Bachelors Degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years experience in technical/applications implementation in a healthcare or hospital setting. Specialized Skills: Understanding of clinical workflow and operational processes within a nurse unit/dept. or interdepartmentally. Clinical knowledge required. Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems (Cerner) preferred. Additional Requirements:Must be tested for Tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest x-ray every 4 years thereafter. Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance.
