Purchasing Coordinator

Basic Scope/Purpose:(The job's primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.)

The Purchasing Coordinator will organize and execute the procurement of materials and services requirements.This role will execute MRP process to ensure continuity of supply. The Purchasing Coordinator will prepare and administer purchase orders to achieve quality, cost and delivery requirements.

•Responsible for processing requisitions and placing purchase orders for MRO materials in a timely manner.

•Communicate Purchase order revisions to requisitioners and approvers.

•Follow up on confirmations & expedite requests to meet the needs of internal customers.

•Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers.

•Ensure accuracy of requisitions, purchase orders and related documentation.

•Continuously pursue and identify cost saving opportunities for materials, freight and services.

•Provide needed support to Procurement Manage and Supply Chain Buyer/Planners as needed.

•Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2000 standards and make changes where appropriate.

•Other duties as assigned.

•Maintain and promote Fenner Precision Polymers' Values and Behaviors at all times.

Education and/or Relative Experience:(The level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.)

•Must have High School education or GED.

•2-5 years working experience in a Business environment.

•Must have good written and oral communication skills.

•Must be detail oriented, accurate and have experience with Microsoft Office applications.

•Must have knowledge and understanding of production and inventory flow.

•Learn and follow EHS policies, rules and work instructions

•Attend required EHS training

•Wear the required PPE at all times

•Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself and your co-workers and visitors free from injury by participating in and/or conducting risk assessments, work place inspections, corrective actions and safety observations

•Report incidents, near miss, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and other hazards in the work place. STOP WORK when imminent danger is present

•Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion and keep equipment in proper working condition.
