Role purpose: The Staff Account is responsible for reviewing all Accounts Payable invoice batches, updating and maintains all vendor files. Prepares journal entries and other financial closing documents, account analysis, reconciliations and special projects as needed.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent training and experience.
•Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a medium to large accounting or finance organization.
•Demonstrated capability to represent Keolis as a credible ambassador to regulatory bodies, the client, and senior stakeholders.
•Experience in the public transport sector understanding the operational capacity to assess and understand functionality of the business.
•Ability to influence wider organizational culture through systemic, sustainable approaches.
•Experience working in a deadline-driven and collaborative environment.
Skills:
•Must be organized, detail oriented, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Key personal traits: forward thinking, proactive, resilient, sound judgement, innovative where required, driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence.
•Ability to meet critical deadlines and achieve organizational objectives.
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a proficiency in Excel.
•ERP proficiency required, experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.

•Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to meet required deadlines.
Key Accountabilities (Essential Job Duties):
Strategy and Governance:
•Demonstrates understanding and adheres to the KCS principles of Employee Engagement, Operational Excellence, Safety & Security, and Economic Performance
•Coordinates with accounting team as part of month end close process
•Ability to communicate effectively and maintain highest level of company standards
Business Processes:
•Responsible for timely and accurate month-end closing processes and associated tasks.
•Ensure journal entries are prepared and have the necessary supporting documentation as required.
•Prepares monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
•Perform monthly reconciliation of payrolls for KCS for both salaried and union employees.
•Responsible for creation of new vendors in the accounting system and updating existing vendors with applicable changes to be made.
•Review accounts payable invoice batches for accuracy.
•Identify and assist in implementing process improvement and efficiency
Reporting:
•Monthly reconciliations and analyses
•Ad hoc requests
