Plant Human Resource Generalist

Oconomowoc and Menomonee Falls, WI - Onsite

What you'll do:

Recruit, interview, and hire hourly employees
Assist Plant Management in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring salaried employees
Arrange pre-hire employment and drug testing, background checks and physicals
Onboard all new hires
Diligently enforce the Plants Policies, Employee Handbook and Corporate policies
Communicate with all employees to help resolve work related issues and conduct any required investigations
Assist Supervisors/Plant Management with disciplinary-related issues
Maintain applicant and employee records
Approve, verify, and document FMLA, sick leave, LTD, attendance, leaves of absence, and pay adjustments
Ensure all federal and state laws are followed
Maintain current legal posting requirements
Provide HR related training as required
Develop, update, and enforce administration of plant rules as required
Facilitate and coordinate employee events
Establish and maintain excellent verbal and written communication with Regional Human Resources, Plant Manager, Superintendent and Supervisors across all shifts and crews
Perform benefits administration, as needed
Process daily labor hours, shift trades, vacations in a Kronos Timekeeping system and reconciling to the production schedule
Updating monthly payroll reports
Processing purchasing orders packing slips, supporting documentation, and checking invoices for accuracy before paying them using On Base software
Preparing AP accruals and prepaid entries for close of month-end

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

We need you to have:

Bachelor's degree in business/human resources or related field of study required
3 to 5 years plant human resources experience required.
Ability to travel up to 30 miles between the two facilities.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
Experience in a Union environment is preferred.
