Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed. Responsibilities include bleeding time tests, blood cultures, and blood samples. Performs patient / specimen registration according to hospital policy.
Regulatory/Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Current certification in BLS CPR.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
