Job Overview: The Financial Controller at our client's facility in Hudson, MA is a crucial member of the management team, responsible for providing accurate financial insights and strategic guidance. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with US accounting standards, supporting commercial decision-making, and overseeing the financial operations of a world-leading manufacturer of precision weight measurement technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to ensure accurate monthly financial statements for effective business management.
  • Guide local accounting practices to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Support commercial decision-making with emphasis on pricing strategies and margin analysis.
  • Prepare and ensure timely submission of financial statements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial statements.
  • Participate in monthly finance reviews to discuss financial performance.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of annual budgets aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including journals and Trial Balances.
  • Manage Standard Costing data accuracy and support Working Capital/Inventory analyses.
  • Use Cognos for group reporting and analysis.
  • Coordinate with local audit teams and ensure adherence to group policies.
  • Manage cash flow and maintain relationships with local banks.
  • Prepare weekly reports on orders, sales, and cash flow.
  • Supervise the Accounting Clerk team and oversee HR functions, including payroll processing.
Requirements Include:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Certifications: CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Key Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, leadership, and the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
