As an employee-owned company, you will share in the overall financial success of the business.If this is attractive to you, join our Shelby, MI team todayWHAT YOU'LL DOPrimary Function SummaryImplement solutions to various assembly and transformational product processesResearch and prove out innovative ways to improve processes making them more efficient and flexibleIntegrate and program assembly processes and equipmentDeveloping user interfaces for operators and integrating them into our MES systemDevelopment of engineered solutions to repetitive equipment failures and other maintenance problems: implementing ways of reducing the need for maintenance repairs and ultimately eliminating the occurrence of failures.Repetitive failures are identified, and the Preventive/Predictive Maintenance is refined by dynamic and relevant:Review of predictive and other inspectionsAnalysis of equipment histories, maintenance cost reports, and failure reportsReview of service and inspection recordsAnalysis of work order dataPerform departmental and project related duties within system guidelines as defined by procedures and other company documentation.Complete service calls and work orders as defined by system documentation.Complete machine programming, and integration of machine logic, and operator interface.Work with TPM on obsolete controls systems as required.Other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Launch Reliability Manager, or Maintenance SupervisorAdapt and promote lean manufacturing principalsActive participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetingsSupport the Company's Goals and ObjectivesWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEEDAbility to guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and safety systems.Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics/prints and how these systems interact within an assembly processAbility to adapt and learn new controls technology and softwareAbility to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervisionUnderstanding and communicating technical detailsKnowledge of multi axis servo systems and robotic systemsIndustrial vision systems/sensors (Cognex, Keyence)Basic networking knowledge and applicationFieldbus Technologies (ex: Ethernet/IP, Ether CAT, I/O Link, Modbus)Interfacing and communication with devices: analog, fieldbus, etc.Software Experience:AutoCAD (electrical/pneumatic detailing)Rockwell Suite (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, RSLogix)SiemensBackhoffExceptional computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and specialized controls softwareExcellent problem solving abilities with ability to apply the principals of root cause analysisPossess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteriaEducationHigh school diploma or GEDBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Associates Degree in Computer ScienceorBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 2 year Technical Degree in Robotic Automation/Computer SciencesExperienceMinimum 5 years previous experience in plant maintenance with a strong background in controls and related softwareWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOUEmployee Stock Ownership PlanIncentive BonusMedical, Vison, DentalPrescription Drug Plan401kPaid Vacation & HolidaysShort-Term DisabilityTuition ReimbursementHealth & Wellness ReimbursementEmployee RecognitionDiscount Programs WHAT ELSE YOU'LL NEED TO KNOW Excellent communication skills for interaction with the workforce, its suppliers and customersExcellent manual dexterity with the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequentlyWork may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping and doing repetitive motion tasksWork is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noiseMust be able to work necessary overtime if required
