Intern Athletic Trainer

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for four intern athletic trainers to assist in delivering athletic training services to various Florida Gators sports as assigned (Baseball; Softball; Men's Basketball/Men's Golf; and Spirit Squad/Gymnastics/Volleyball). Other duties include providing coverage for the athletic training facility, overseeing athletic training students, and traveling overnight as required by the sport.
These are time-limited positions with an option for a second year if essential criteria is met. These positions have an estimated start date in the summer of 2024. This posting will close end of business day on December 16, 2024.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Certified Athletic Training Program by the start date
- BOC Certification and Florida Licensure eligible within 30 days of hire
- Current American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) Certification
- A valid driver's license
- Highly organized individual with a positive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
- Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight team travel
- Experience working in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment
*Please note: Additional on the job training will be provided to candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for this position.Please note this is a non-coaching position.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
