Bollinger Motors is seeking a Quality Manager to work closely with our engineering and design team, plus the contract Roush manufacturing team. This position reports to the Quality Director. This is an in-person role at the company's contract manufacturer in Livonia, MI with occasional travel to the company's headquarters in Oak Park, MI.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the plant quality team: quality engineer plus quality technicians.
- Lead and develop the incoming receiving QC review process at Roush warehouse.
- Support the development of the QOS (quality operating system) at Roush.
- Support development of ISO 9001 documentation, processes, and implementation
- Support product launches including APQP, Control plan development and quality issue resolution at supplier sites when necessary, with SQE lead.
- Lead deployment of quality performance requirements.
- Escalate significant issues to management promptly.
- Lead production constraint risk mitigation working with supplier teams and manage recovery plans.
- Support robust supplier Failure Mode Avoidance through PFMEA, CP, and manufacturing feasibility reviews.
- Support internal quality and manufacturing concerns as it relates to finished product
- Support development of internal quality processes and metrics
- Drive compliance to all organizational and corporate training requirements and processes
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost and productivity.
- Maintain process discipline to implement process improvements.
- Lead gage calibration process.

- 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a quality function.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles Kaizen, 5S, Poka-yoke, FMEA, 8D methodology
- Microsoft knowledge (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with a wide range of individuals.
- Possess strong continuous improvement mindset and drive for results
- Strong in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to develop a team of employees to maintain peak performance and employee satisfaction.
