The role involves MIG flux-core welding on a variety of stainless, carbon, and precious metals using 045 wire, with some TIG welding and fitting if trained. The position also requires code welding and blueprint reading.+ Welding of fabricated heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and tanks+ Experience in fabricating steel products+ Experienced in reading blueprints and weld symbol knowledge+ Knowledgeable in ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1 (a plus)+ Knowledgeable with layout and fabrication of product+ TIG Welding+ Flux core welding+ Blueprint Experience+ Math skills (diameter, pi, degree line, measurements)+ Physical capability for job requirements (lifting 50+lbs)+ Comfortable with heights (welding 15ft -20ft in the air at times)**Job Type**This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).**Work Site**This is a fully on-site position in Decatur, Illinois.**Work Environment**Our facility consists of 4 buildings on a 6-acre site with 50,000 square feet of production floor space. The largest products are over 100 feet in length and weigh over 60 tons.
