We are now seeking a high-caliber Record to Report (R2R) Manager to join our Shanghai-based team to play a pivotal role in building an extraordinary Global Business Solutions center, passionate about developing a compliance governance framework to support Apple’s businesses in Greater China. Description You will lead a team of finance professionals to develop strong business partnerships across Apple to maintain compliance with Apple Finance policies, generally accepted accounting principles and local regulatory requirements throughout the end-to-end financial and tax reporting process. This role will navigate the broader organization and collaborate with various functions within the region and across the global R2R organization. COMPLIANCE Maintain accuracy, completeness and integrity of GL accounts and possess knowledge of general principles relating to regulatory compliance. Engage with partners and ensure GAAP compliance risks and tax compliance risks are fully discussed and understood. Develop a scalable reporting process, comprising of system and manual work around. Lead statutory filings and tax filings process to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and deadlines. Ensure attainment of service level agreements and make improvements to address any exceptions identified. Review and evaluate compliance issues and concerns. Ensure accurate documentation on procedures and controls are in place. Prepare memos for tax and accounting positions. Maintain compliance with SOX and internal controls governing assigned areas. Be able to break down business decisions into a detailed action plan and follow-through to deliver results. PROJECTS AND BUSINESS EXPANSION Drive and/or participate in business transition and expansion projects. Make recommendations to support new business models or changes to existing business models in the region. Design scalable and repeatable processes to support new business expansion in China. Find opportunities for streamlining and standardizing processes and implement solutions to get results. TALENT Supervise, train and develop team members to ensure the team is performing at a high level and build opportunities for development and advancement within the team. Work closely with team members and other functional teams in implementing process changes and driving consistency and standardization across the team’s work. Minimum Qualifications A minimum of 10 years of related working experience, in terms of US GAAP and L-GAAP accounting and reporting with at least 3 years in a senior position. Good knowledge of Greater China statutory and tax filing requirements. Preferred Qualifications A combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred. Experience with the SAP system and system implementation or support experience would be a plus. Experience collaborating in a matrix environment with capability to influence without necessarily having positional power. Degree in accounting, finance or business administration. Full accounting or finance qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, CICPA, CMA) and knowledge of US GAAP, PRC GAAP and IFRS. Strong communication skills with a good command of English and Chinese in both written and spoken forms. Mature, responsible, driven and able to work independently. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with intellectual curiosity and a passion for business process excellence. Ability to recognize issues within processes and organizations, while considering functional interdependencies. Ability to attract, retain and develop talent and ensure talent development plans are executed. Problem solving, project management and strong interpersonal skills required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
