Manufacturing Controller

Job Description: As a Manufacturing Controller, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting for our manufacturing operations. Your role will involve collaborating closely with various departments to optimize manufacturing costs, improve financial performance, and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee cost accounting processes for manufacturing operations, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Monitor manufacturing performance metrics and provide regular financial analysis and reporting to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and efficiency gains in manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing accounting and financial reporting.
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for manufacturing activities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate information and documentation related to manufacturing finances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and manufacturing cost structures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
