Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities. Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges. Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling. Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures, and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols. Shall be subject to technical direction and/or guidance of the designated Government official. Shall be under the administrative supervision of the Chief of Obstetrics or his/her designee. Shall be monitored by the 96th Medical Groups Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan, Shall participate in the monthly peer review process of clinical skills; a minimum of 10 routine cases seen in the last 30 days. This will involve both a review of his/her patient care via review of clinical notes and or performance. Shall also provide the same peer review for the other Obstetrics & Gynecology physicians.Minimum Qualifications:* Degree/Education: MD or DO; internship/residency in Obstetrics-Gynecology* Experience: Minimum 36 months within the last 48 months* Licensure: Active/clear license to practice as a physician from Florida* DEA: Current and active DEA certification* Clinical Board Certification: Board-Certified as an OB/GYN Physician by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.* Life Support Certifications: BLS/ACLS and NRP* Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
