Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and extremely organized Accounting Supervisor to assist with the day-to-day accounting activities and close processes for our multiple properties. This position reports to the Assistant Controller and will focus on overseeing daily transactions including AP, AR, GL and reconciliations, monthly journal entries, revenue recognition, year-end audit preparation, and domestic and foreign withholding tax research. This role interacts with all levels of external and internal management thus the candidate must possess strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail the ability to multi-task is a must. GAAP knowledge is required.

This is an on-site role in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Help manage the general accounting and reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Assist with financial statement analysis (BS, P&L, and SOCF) for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
  • Assist with driving GAAP compliance and implementation of new standards.
  • Book monthly accruals and prepare monthly account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and record required journal entries including daily transactions and monthly expense allocations.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules used in the preparation and completion of the month-end closing process.
  • Supervise the AR team and manage collections.
  • Review customer contracts and prepare revenue recognition schedules to ensure compliance with ASC 606.
  • Maintain lease accounting schedules and related JEs in accordance with ASC 842.
  • Review and approve AP invoices and assist with payment runs.
  • Review and approve third party payroll process for contractors.
  • Research foreign tax withholding and VAT/GST requirements.
  • Assist with year-end audit requests.
  • Research and document technical accounting issues in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.

Minimum of 3 years related experience.

Experience with foreign and multiple entities is a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact and work effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization.

Must have extremely high work ethic and be willing to work overtime when required.

Must possess excellent analytical skills.

Ability to ensure proper levels of confidentiality regarding employee personal information and company operations.

Advanced Excel skills required.
