Electrical Hardware Engineer

to be responsible for design and implementation of control systems for painter and sealer robotic systems. The position requires working closely with several other team members in the Paint division to provide process driven system solutions. The approach of standardization, cost down, accuracy and increased efficiency is essential to meet the expectations of our internal and external customers. Primary responsibilities will include: Responsible for Control Panel and Cable Design for Paint Finishing and Sealer Robotic control systems. Configure Fanuc America’s Paint and Sealer robots to meet specific project requirements. Verify designs are within budget Attend Project kickoff meetings and take active participation. Obtain a clear understanding from the Project manager and Team of what is expected from the Electrical Engineering group. Clarify any discrepancies. Follow project schedules and meet all deadlines Review and clarify customer specifications, including ordering of electrical components Review electrical drawings for completeness and accuracy, release installation drawings and component drawings, including schematics for review with the installation engineer. Work closely with several other team members in the Paint division to provide process driven system solutions. Troubleshoot electrical circuits Ability to analyze complex problems, trouble shoot electrical, identify root causes, and offer professional solutions Ability to analytically determine support requirements and implement action(s) through interaction with functional/divisional groups Occasional overnight travel to customer site; occasional international travel may be required (2%-5%) Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience designing Industrial Control panel Prior industrial automation experience is helpful AutoCAD experience Knowledge and ability to read electrical codes NEC, NFPA, ANSI, NEMA Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel Software Familiarity with Fanuc America Corporation standard Oracle Systems preferred Previous Control System Design Experience with the following: PLC’s, transformers, safety relays, light curtains, sensors, motors, circuit breakers, encoders, wire sizing, cabling and grounding Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits Working knowledge of Electrical codes NEC, NFPA, ANSI, NEMA We offer market competitive pay and benefits programs, as well as opportunities for advancement, knowledge and skill development, and recognition of individual achievements.
