The Financial Analyst II works with Business Unit Leaders to provide financial and business analysis support; coordinates development and monitoring of monthly contract projections relating to existing contractual activities to ensure contractual compliance. Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements, and operating forecasts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains system integrity of forecast system and facilitates enhancements. Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts Oversees and participates in the fiscal year contract budgeting process, working with project managers and lead financial analyst to ensure budgetary regulations/constraints. Participates in monthly closing. Assists with financial reporting systems, internal controls, and policies and procedures. Facilitates training activities to train non-financial staff that require contract training and coaching. Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance. Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly. Directs preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, and business forecasts as requested. Prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action. Participate in the RFP costing and modifications and ensure processes for costing, including preparing cost proposal documents, FTE analysis, other direct cost and contract funding. Assists Corporate CFO or Director of Accounting in the development of other corporate financial requirements.

Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible business and/or government contracting/cost accounting experience; OR

may substitute at least 10 years government contracting/cost accounting experience To perform this job successfully: An individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software and Spreadsheet software. Strong knowledge of financial accounting, analytics, operations, proforma statements, and cost/price analysis. Must be able to work outside normal business hours as required.
