Brand Marketing Specialist

As the Brand Marketing Specialist, this individual is responsible for managing the tactical marketing projects to support the companys overall brand marketing objectives of growing brand awareness, engagement and building fans. We are looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit for this hands-on position within the brand marketing department.

This individual must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build a working rapport within all departments in the organization. This individual must be able to be self-managed and have the ability to work independently and effectively without direct supervision.

Manage Athlete and Ambassador teams:

• Develop and implement the strategic plan for ambassadors, influencers and sponsored athletes to fulfill short- and long-term marketing objectives.
• Update and maintain agreements with ambassadors based on budget and yearly planning.
• Ensure sponsored athletes and ambassadors are scheduled for events in advance. Manage travel and expense reimbursements.
• Respond to questions and needs to individual requests in a timely manner.
• Fulfill product requests for personal use as well as swag for clinics, demos, slideshows, etc.
• Communicate with brand marketing team with event updates from the ambassadors schedules so brands can help amplify or provide support. This includes competitions, events, slideshows, trips, etc.

Manage Digital and Content Marketing Calendars:

• Work with the Director of Brand Marketing to plan and execute the brand marketing strategy
• This includes tracking down copy, images, video and other assets needed to publish content
• Work with brand marketing team to fulfill content requests for informational articles, videos, trip reports, product reviews, testimonials, social posts, imagery needs, etc.
• Ensure creative team has all the assets they need to push content live across web, email, social and other digital channels.

Manage Seasonal Product Launches:

• Lead the facilitation of marketing assets to respective stakeholders for seasonal product launches.
• Set up meetings for each ensure stakeholders are aligned and on schedule.
• Coordinate with the creative team to ensure marketing assets are being developed on time.

Social Media Management:

• Coordinate with Social Agency to ensure social media calendars are up to date for all brands by reviewing and providing feedback and/or approving posts
• Ensure posts are displaying proper safety techniques and are on brand (work with internal team to ensure accuracy)
• Complete fulfillment of contests and giveaways (order and ship prizes).

Marketing Support:

• Assist creative services in coordination of photo and video shoots. Work with R&D, sales and marketing to ensure all resources (products, talent, location, etc.) are dialed in.
• Coordinate athlete, influencer, PR and event sponsorship requests- place orders for product needs and track shipments.
• Communicate with all departments and Event Manager to ensure all needed collateral (banners, promo merch, product samples, etc.) are created and ready for each event.
• Assist in data collection and market research for new marketing initiatives.
• Attend tradeshows, climbing festivals, conferences, expos and more as booth support.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in marketing, advertising or related field
• Understanding of ecommerce infrastructure, consumer insights, and digital marketing channels
• Familiarity with data analytics and reporting (Google Analytics, Excel)
• Experience in content management and social media engagement
• Experience in communicating with professional rock climbers, arborists and work-at-height professionals.
• Excellent written, verbal, & interpersonal skills is a MUST.
• Multi-tasking skills required with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Enthusiastic, passionate, self-starting approach to work and life overall
• Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds and willingness to organize materials within a warehouse setting
• Can-do spirit with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and take on any needed tasks
• Ability to understand and engage with customers of all types and demographics
• Willingness to travel (15-20%) and work over weekends when necessary
• Climbing experience not a requirement, however having a willingness to get into our business and occasionally get on a rope for fun or firsthand experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, set up tradeshow booths, move boxes, participate in photo shoots, etc.
