Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Loan Operations Specialist performs a variety of routine and non-routine analytical, operational and administrative duties to support both complex commercial and consumer loans. Pre-reviews documentation and loan files both pre-boarding and post-boarding to ensure accuracy and conformity of input. Performs a variety of operational duties and reviews relating to both the commercial loan and consumer loan portfolios. Maintains all systems input to ensure ongoing compliance with respect to HMDA, CRA, Flood, Escrow, Insurance and other closely monitored regulations. Loan OperationsPreviews loan packages prior to Boarding and identifies potential boarding issuesAccurately board and payoff loans on the core system; including but not limited to participated loans, SBA, complex commercial and consumer loans, commitments and letters of credit.Follows and assists in developing and updating departmental procedures to service a variety of loan documents including but not limited to: complex commercial loans (CRE & C&I), consumer and mortgage loansResponsible for balancing data processing system and verifying processed loan documents for accuracy, balancing general ledger accounts, processing or posting rejected itemsAccurately scans daily work and loan files into the imaging systemReview daily posting reports as required with ability to correct and resolve errors contained thereinWork with vendors and assist with the management of UCC filings, vehicle perfections and insurance trackingAssist in areas within the department as neededLoan Origination - Systems Analytical SupportAs directed by the Loan Operations Manager, works with Business Analyst, Vendor and Loan Center team to coordinate implementation of new products and product interfacesPerforms testing of new products, system enhancements, and other changes that are developed for the CoreWorks closely with Loan Operations Manager, Team Leader and Loan Operations Team to enhance loan boarding and other operational processesCustomer Relationship ManagementResearches and responds to routine customer inquiries over the phone or in writing in a positive and responsive manner. Initiates contact with other bank departments, branches, or outside vendors as necessary.ComplianceCompletes assigned compliance training on time. Passes on the first attempt.Participates actively in community activities to enhance the Bank's image, visibility and to reinforce the Bank's commitment to CRA.Maintains a current knowledge of bank regulations. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations. Requirements High School diploma or general education degree (GED)Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferredMinimum of two to five years of banking experience in commercial loan operations or loan servicing preferred Knowledge of loan service practices, methods, and procedures for accurate processing of loan documentsEffective verbal and written communications skills, including customer service skillsFamiliarity with document imaging systems preferredAdditional Comments:River City Bank is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer with a commitment to diversity.
