This position provides repair dispositions and fabrication requirements for discrepant aircraft conditions discovered while performing aircraft maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul. These discrepancies are normally outside the scope of contracted work and are considered Over & Above (O&A). O&A planners use engineering source documents to provide technical direction and references for technicians to execute necessary repairs. The O&A planner will also provide estimated labor budgets and required materials to perform repairs. Negotiations may be required when repair requirements are challenged by customers. O&A planners are expected to conduct spot checks of work documents with Operations' personnel for improvement opportunities. The O&A planner will be expected to execute liaison planner tasks to resolve planning document issues, provide reports, and process planning changes to support hangar floor and flight line operations. This position requires candidates with experience in the F-16 aviation/aircraft maintenance field. Experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings. Ability to plan sequence of work, experience using MS Word and Excel, and able to understand contractual requirements to differentiate between basic and Over & Above work Solumina experience preferred. Comments for Suppliers: This position requires candidates with experience estimating aircraft repairs, previous experience writing aircraft work documents, excellent organizational and communication skills, experience using military technical manuals, experience working with customers directly.
