Our client is a full-service, tier one supplier to Honda, specializing in the design and production of lighting equipment, accessories, and electronic components. Our client's London, Ohio facility houses lighting and mold design, construction, production engineering, and dedicated associates in their Quality, Assembly, Sales, and Customer Service departments.

How you will excel:

-Developing and proposing preventative countermeasures to improve workers" health and safety.
-Developing and proposing countermeasures to control costs.
-Staying current on State and federal health and safety standards and regulations and ensuring compliance.

What you will be doing:
Leading and championing the company"s safety culture by:

-Implementing and assuring compliance for safety program.
-Examining plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
-Leading Safety Team when facilitating safety initiatives.
-Administering companywide Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) program.
-Conducting safety training, both, New Hire Orientation training and specialized regulatory required training.
-Leading and/or Conducting Inspections and Audits towards the finding and correcting of safety hazards and issues throughout the company.

How you will qualify:

-You have a Bachelor"s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety or equivalent experience.
-You have at least three years" experience that includes a minimum of two years in a manufacturing environment.
-You can demonstrate thorough knowledge of worker"s compensation regulations and procedures to manage claims

Physical Requirements:

-Lifting (max 40lbs) (0.5) hours per day
