We are seeking an entry-level experienced CNC operator who understands the intricacies of CNC machining and possesses strong leadership skills to join our team as a Sr. CNC Machinist/Supervisor.Kiosk Group is looking for an experienced CNC and manufacturing professional to fulfill a Senior CNC Machinist and Supervisor position with a strong eye for detail, and mechanical aptitude who will create CAM files and operate CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality parts accurately and efficiently. Currently, Kiosk Group runs one Onsrud 3-axis CNC with a Fanuc controller. CAD and CAM files are developed using Autodesk Fusion 360. Materials cut include both high-density and low-density plastics and aluminum. (Machine/software-specific training can be made available.)As a Sr. CNC Machinist/Supervisor at Kiosk Group, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the highest quality standards are met while leading a team of CNC operators. You will oversee the operation of CNC machines, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and work closely with our engineering and design teams to optimize production processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and mentoring junior CNC operators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior CNC Machinist/Supervisor at Kiosk Group, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks essential to our manufacturing operations. Your duties will include creating CAM files from Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD models, ensuring that each file accurately translates design specifications into machine instructions. Additionally, you will run tests on machines to verify that outputs align with exact specifications, meticulously inspecting completed parts against blueprint requirements to confirm the accuracy and quality of the manufacturing process.In your supervisory capacity, you will oversee CNC operators, setting performance standards and conducting regular reviews to uphold our commitment to excellence. This entails reading specifications from mechanical drawings and ensuring their precise implementation throughout production. Your role will also involve preparing and loading materials onto machines, operating them throughout the full fabrication cycle, and maintaining machinery to ensure consistent functionality.Furthermore, you will supervise machines during execution, making necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes and manufacturing efficiency. Adherence to Kiosk Group's quality and safety protocols is paramount, and you will play a crucial role in upholding these standards while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Additionally, your commitment to continuous improvement will be demonstrated through your active participation in educational opportunities, technical publications, and discussions with colleagues to stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices.QualificationsCandidates for the Senior CNC Machinist/Supervisor position at Kiosk Group must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of machining principles and techniques. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred, along with proficiency in reading engineering drawings and blueprints. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions efficiently. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work are essential traits for this role, as is the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with Haas and/or Fanuc controls is preferred, as well as proficiency in Autodesk 360 or an equivalent CAD/CAM environment. While a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience is desirable, candidates with relevant practical experience will also be considered. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a dedication to continuous improvement to thrive in our innovative manufacturing environment.
