Responsibilities:

Nurse Practitioner

This position reports to the Medical Director of the Department of Urgent Care and works under a collaborative agreement with an assigned Urgent Care Provider working in Garnet Health Doctors. Physician Assistant

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $105,352 through $121,837 annually. Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner

Minimum Education:
Masters in Nursing required.
Post Masters Certificate - Family Nurse Practitioner required.
Doctor of Nursing Practice preferred.

Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 1 year post-Masters degree in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting with emphasis on care of patients with a wide range of acute illness, preferred.

Required Certification/Registration:
NYS Nurse Practitioner License Family required.
BLS, ACLS & PALS Certification required.
DEA Certification, valid and unrestricted required.
Board Certification in Family Nursing as a practitioner (general or specialized) from the ANCC or the AANP within one year of hire required.
Current Opioid Prescriber Training Certificate required.
Current Infectious Certificate required.

Physical Requirements:
Mobility required.
Occasional lifts (up to 35 lbs), positions, restrains, pushes and/or transfers patients.

Working Conditions:
Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works primarily inside and may occasionally work outdoors. Frequent contact with various Garnet Health staff, sales representatives, employees and community members.
