QT provides a well-orchestrated combination of technical resource management, product workmanship verification through inspection, and physical property quantification through materials testing. The Position:

QT is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to perform geotechnical analyses, assist with proposal development, and prepare and review design and construction submittals for geotechnical compliance with applicable codes, design standards, project requirements, and contract documents. The Geotechnical Engineer will also serve as a geotechnical project manager and communicate with clients regarding project status. Job responsibilities Geotechnical engineering analysis and evaluations for earthwork/excavation support, shallow/deep. foundation design and analysis, settlement analysis, and pavement design Plan, schedule, and conduct field and laboratory services for a wide range of project types Oversee engineering services during construction of projects including materials testing Write geotechnical engineering reports presenting findings and recommendations. Serve as project manager to develop scope, schedule, and budget and ensure successful project delivery Participate in local, regional, and national engineering related organizations. Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree. Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona. Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical/civil/ engineering projects. Demonstrated technical competence in subsurface exploration, soil classification, analysis for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability analysis, pavement design, and report preparation. Strong leadership and written/verbal communication skills Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required. Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects on time and budget. Experience with supporting the acquiring, performing and managing of federal, state, and local government and private sector client projects.
