Position: Asst. Controller

Type: Salaried, Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation :

Base Salary: $122,000 Performance Bonus: Up to $48,000 ($4k / month) Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental Insurance Paid vacation / sick leave Employee Ownership Shares (ESOP)

Job Description

The Asst. Controller position will manage the company's costs through line-item analysis and process control implementation. This will include hands-on work with the financials of multiple entities on a regular basis (AP, AR, Reporting) and assistance with relevant financial priorities (managing insurance policies, property tax filings, managing tenants, working with contractors, etc.). This position reports directly to the CEO and has high visibility. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, with a relevant focus (e.g. healthcare, commercial real estate).

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another relevant area Experience: 3+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience (required), real estate experience (preferred) Ability to manage full-cycle accounting/reporting in QuickBooks Able to maintain strict confidentiality and integrity Strong attention to detail and accounting knowledge Entrepreneurial spirit and willing to take on non-accounting tasks as needed Enjoys multi-tasking and being a part of the operations leadership team Ability to use financial data to improve systems and processes Enjoys a small, dynamic team Values a long-term opportunity Prefers to work efficiently and maintain a typical 40-hour work week
