Role Overview As a Technical Lead in Electrical Engineering, you will drive the design and development of critical electrical systems for our humanoid robot. You will oversee the full product lifecycle, from architecture and design to validation and production, ensuring that solutions are safe, robust, and scalable. This highly cross-functional role requires close collaboration with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the robot. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution, embedded electronics, and safety-critical circuits Own critical subsystems from architecture through production, ensuring reliability and manufacturability Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to achieve integrated system performance Guide and review schematic design, PCB layout, analysis, and validation activities Drive electrical testing and verification at subsystem and system levels Manage documentation, risk assessments, and compliance with safety and industry standards Mentor and support junior and mid-level electrical engineers, fostering technical excellence across the team Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during prototyping and production phases Requirements Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field 8+ years of experience in electrical design for complex electro-mechanical systems Expertise in power electronics, embedded systems, and safety-critical design practices Strong background in schematic design, PCB layout, and design for manufacturability Experience validating electrical systems through rigorous testing and analysis Proven track record of bringing designs from concept to production Ability to lead design reviews and mentor engineers Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams Benefits & Compensation Salary Range: $178,419 $350,400 Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer 1X is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
