Tracking Code 23730 Job Description KPS Global operations are located across various geographic regions in the US. As such, it is necessary that procurement support production-operations by developing and managing high levels of support from its supply chain. Reporting to the KPS Purchasing Manager in Fort Worth, the Buyer will be a team player that can manage assigned tactical and strategic purchasing assignments with the supply chain for all internal and external customers.

This Buyer will order finished goods support customer orders, including purchases requiring drop shipments to customer sites. The Buyer will maintain daily reports, assist in launching new programs, and work to manage key commodities by managing the supply chain, launching purchase orders, following up on delivery, while simultaneously managing cost and quality. The buyer will ensure proper PO lifecycle management. They will work closely with both inside and outside sales ensuring the customer need is met.

Required Skills The ***preferred*** candidate would have the following skill sets:

* Basic knowledge of purchasing, contract (purchase order) law (and/or knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (U.C.C.).

* Strong character, moral principles, and ethics and a desire to get the job done right.

* Detail oriented, highly organized, ability to work as long as necessary to get job done right.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Computer and software savvy and able to get things done.

* Basic understanding of demand and supply, i.e., planning, BOMs, inventory, etc,

* Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively situations; participates in meetings; listens and gets clarification; writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; reads and interprets written information.

* Interpersonal maintains confidentiality; listens to others without interrupting; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others ideas

* Results - Focuses on completing essential tasks within an appropriate timeframe; demonstrates proficiency in both the quality and quantity of work;

* Self- Development - Demonstrates an openness and attitude of learning and developing; is committed to improving themselves by seeking to utilize their strengths and work on weaknesses; strives for excellence; takes advantage of training opportunities.

Required Experience

* Bachelors degree and four (4) years of job experience.

* Will consider someone with a two-year Associates degree if they have 2 5 years (but no more) of in-depth Buying experience in manufacturing.

* Microsoft Office experience (Word, above average Excel experience, and Outlook).

* Good organizational skills and experience working with teams.

* Certifications in or currently enrolled in any one of the following programs is preferred:

+ Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by the American Production & Inventory Control Society

+ Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production & Inventory Control Society [now known as Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM)]

+ Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) by the Institute of Supply Management (ISM)

+ Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) by the Institute of Supply Management (ISM)
