Responsible for set up, configuration and support of information technology systems. Provides support to the information systems throughout the organization including hospital information systems, network, storage, mail and phone systems. Participates in technical research and planning to enable the hospital to operate effectively and securely.

  • Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc., in accordance with standards and project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
  • Provide support to end users and various other sources, investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Take initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow-up regarding service issues with internal and external sources in a timely manner.
  • Apply patches, packages and upgrades on a regular basis.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures; coordinate and communicate with impacted departments.
  • Serves in the after hours on-call rotation.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent Information Technology or equivalent, required.
  • 3 years progressive experience in various information systems related functions including but not limited to information server standard administration, computer applications programming and systems experience, required.
  • Healthcare of hospital information systems experience preferred
