Our

PC/Network Specialist

supports Edgerton Hospital by providing support to end users and helps maintain the infrastructure and security of the internal network.

Job duties include:Act as first level support to all computer users within the hospital and its subsidiaries.Support and maintain, using industry best practice and the policies of EHHS, the network infrastructure including network hardware, software, and the cabling infrastructure of the facility. Install and configure any new network and telephone hardware and software purchased and additional infrastructure as deemed necessary. Provide secure login information for all aspects of the network infrastructure.Support and maintain the integrity and reliability of facility information stores by managing antivirus and data backup solutions. Maintain updates to these utilities and provide direction on potential changes/threats to the data/infrastructure.Support and maintain applications and systems utilized by the hospital and departments including any interfaces used. If necessary, act as liaison to vendors and coordinate support when needed.Assist in the support and maintenance of the internal telephone system. Attend training as needed to stay current with support tools and upgrades.Assist in the support of external data transmission including internet, fax, email, file transfers, etc. Maintain the integrity and security of the information by monitoring transfers, educating staff on proper usage and auditing where appropriate.Provide advice regarding the purchase of hardware and software that will assist in the care of patients, increase employee productivity, or as needed in keeping with the IT vision for the hospital organization. Create internal databases and reports as requested for the collection of departmental information.Participate in outside education to further knowledge in areas pertinent to job duties.Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.Requirements

Minimum 4+ years related experience and/or training.Knowledge of Windows Server, group policy, and active directory experience.Knowledge of personal computers, servers, and programs, with network emphasis.Knowledge of networking components including switches, preferably Cisco.
