We’re seeking an MDS Coordinator to join our growing team Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency with regard to attendance are extremely important to this job. Assures compliance with Federal and State regulations regarding completion/coordination of the comprehensive assessment (MDS). Monitors MDS and care plan documentation on all residents, assuring that complete, orderly chronological and current documentation is in file. Maintains proficiency in software. Coordinates and attends regular Medicaid meetings to discuss current residents, pending residents, and recipients. Coordinates and attends all ITTM meetings in order to gather information, communicate changes, maintain and update the clinical records including the Care plan. Performs care plan updates as needed. Provides DON, Administrator, and pertinent staff with the Quality Indicators Report. Performs transmissions of the MDS on a timely basis. Remains current with changes in the industry through attendance at outside workshops and conferences. Performs Ancillary management, collection, and reporting to corporate billing personnel. Requirements: Licensed Nurse in good standing. Geriatric nursing background. Restorative care philosophy, excellent professional skills (both assessment and hands-on), and good communication and organization skills. Working knowledge of nursing home regulations. Ability to work independently as well as a meaningful member of the team. Excellent organizational skills in order to coordinate many projects simultaneously.
