Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis. FLSA StatusExemptJob Role SummaryThe Licensed Clinician performs a variety of individual, family and group therapeutic interventions, and is familiar with best practices for a variety of client populations. This position manages a caseload of clients by identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative and case management needs, engaging other team members in meeting these needs as indicated.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesCompletes biopsychosocial evaluation (BPSE), integrating information gathered by the team and developing the integrated diagnostic summary; based upon the BPSE and in consultation with the treatment team, prepares Clinical Treatment plans, dates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines; consults with client, family and treatment team throughout the processManages a caseload of clients by identifying therapeutic, rehabilitative and case management needs; engages other team members in meeting these needs as indicated; provides quality case management services as indicated by client need; monitors client progress and reflects this in the clinical documentationPerforms a variety of individual, family and group therapeutic interventions, and is familiar with best practices for a variety of client populationsEvaluates and updates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, consulting with client family and team in this processAdvocates for clients to ensure access to needed services which include developing community relationships and resourcesMeets agency standards of timely completion of all documentationMeets agency standards of client service hoursIdentifies any high- risk client symptoms or circumstances that would result in risk for self-harm or harm to others and notifies appropriate higher level clinical staff for consultationContinuously evaluates clients' mental status, reporting progress to the team and treating psychiatristIdentifies community resources and assists clients in their access to these resourcesProactively organizes community groups and facilitates the development of community resources and advocates for clients with policy makersProvides indirect service to external agencies and community through consultation and educationInterprets and applies service and billing procedures according to client needs; completes billing according to guidelines for timeliness and accuracyAlters activities and behaviors to reflect and ensure adequate care which is appropriate to the age of the clients servedServes as a clinical resource for less experienced staffDemonstrates commitment to professional growth by actively participating in clinical supervisionJob RequirementsMaster's degree in Human Services and licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC)Valid Indiana driver's license that meets Eskenazi Health's driving policy requirementsAll staff working with clients from the Department of Child Services will be required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background check performed upon hire and periodically thereafterAll individuals working for the Opioid Treatment Program must have one of the following FSSA/DMHA-approved credentials for Clinicians providing counseling with an OTP:Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)Certified Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) IICertified Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) IVIndiana Certified Addiction Counselor (ICAC) IIndiana Certified Addiction Counselor (ICAC) IILicensed Social Worker (LSW) with Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist (MATS)Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC)Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)Master Addiction Counselor (MAC)National Certified Addiction Counselor (NCAC) IKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesUnderstanding of and ability to implement a strengths-based, community treatment modelStrong interpersonal skills with ability to be both clear and concise in written and verbal communicationsAdvanced knowledge of psychiatric/addiction diagnoses and understanding of their impact on behavior and all life domainsAdvanced knowledge of psychotropic medications and their uses and side effects Demonstrates solid knowledge of psychiatric/addiction diagnosis and understands of their impact on behavior and all life domainsDemonstrates solid knowledge of psychotropic medications and their uses and side effectsWillingness and ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary teamAbility to use age-appropriate communication skillsAbility to interpret and apply complex directives, information and regulations Crisis intervention skillsLeadership and team building abilityAll individuals working for the Opioid Treatment Program must have experience and training to safely manage therapeutic services to patients and to provide therapeutic services to patients receiving Opioid treatment medicationAccredited by The Joint Commission and named as one of Indiana's best employers by Forbes magazine for two consecutive years and the top hospital in the state for community benefit by the Lown Institute, Eskenazi Health's programs have received national recognition while also offering new health care opportunities to the local community.
