Floor Tech - Envrionmental Services

Northridge Hospital Medical Center

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated experience Floor Tech. The Floor Tech will maintain assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean and sanitary condition by performing specialized cleaning tasks which involve operating heavy-duty equipment and using special cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Cleans assigned areas according to established standards and 12-step cleaning process.
  • Scrubs, strips, waxes and buffs floors utilizing automatic and multi-speed floor machines and other specialized equipment.
  • Maintains and cleans assigned equipment
  • Arranges and/or transports furniture, equipment and supplies.
  • Documents and reports items needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction.
  • Stocks supply cart in assigned areas.
  • Keeps record of supply requisitions and assignments, completed and inventory.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have minimum one-year floor care experience or more in Healthcare or Nursing Home.
  • Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions.
  • Fire Safety card required. (obtain within 90 days from start date)
