You will make wine recommendations to our guests, supervise the serving of our wine selection, and develop relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the winemaking & selling process.Responsibilities:Recommend wine pairings to customersDescribe various wines and their features to patronsPlan and assist in wine tastings and eventsManage wine cellar and ensure bottles are properly storedEducate staff on available winesBuild relationships with vendors and negotiate the best pricesAdhere to health and safety regulationsQualifications:Previous experience as a Sommelier is preferredSommelier certification or degree in hospitality is preferredExtensive knowledge of wine, winemaking, and local vineyardsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work nights and weekends with occasional travel amongst companies and events#J-18808-Ljbffr
