Job Overview As an Audiologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with hearing disorders in a private practice setting. You will work closely with adults and their families to improve their quality of life through comprehensive hearing healthcare. Responsibilities - Conduct diagnostic hearing evaluations to assess patients' hearing issues - Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals. - Provide counseling on hearing, the importance of hearing protection and the benefits of regular office visits and comprehensive hearing care. - Dispense and fit hearing aids, custom ear protection, and assistive devices and make necessary adjustments to ensure an optimal fitting for each patient. -Competency in earwax removal, deep fitted hearing aids (Phonak Lyric), and earmold impressions. -Perform hearing aid repairs, re-makes, and maintenance. -Knowledge of patient management system (Sycle) and assist owner in marketing, updating our website and maintaining a social media presence. -Stay current with industry developments by maintaining knowledge and skills through continuing education, attending conferences and workshops related to the field of audiology. -Uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of job performance and interaction with staff and patients. - Collaborate with administrative staff and other healthcare professionals, such as otolaryngologists and primary care physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care. Skills - In-depth knowledge of auditory physiology and anatomy - Expertise in conducting diagnostic evaluations for hearing disorders - Proficiency in utilizing and troubleshooting computerized diagnostic equipment - Knowledge of medical terminology related to audiology- Familiarity with the function of an audiology practice- Strong clinical skills for recommending and fitting hearing aids and assistive devices- Good communication skills with patients and staff- Excellent organizational skills to manage patient records effectively- Ability to balance responsibilities, set priorities, and delegate tasks in an efficient manner Qualifications - Masters degree or Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree - License in Audiology (preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $75,000.00 per year Ability to Commute: Mason, OH 45040 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Mason, OH 45040: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
