Reporting to the Manager of Transportation Planning, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation planning projects from around the GTHA and surrounding areas. Typical projects include Transportation Master Plans, Active Transportation Master Plans, Environmental Assessments, Corridor Studies, Preliminary and Detailed Design exercises, and Traffic Impact Studies. In this position, you will assist technical staff in completing project related tasks and your responsibilities will include: *

Completing technical research. *

Analyzing traffic data. *

Conducting site visits for field observations. *

Preparing technical memos and writing reports. *

Attending client meetings and preparing meeting summaries. *

Participating in consultation sessions and public meetings. *

Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** *

Full-time student, studying Civil Engineering, or related field *

Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) *

Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) *

Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset *

Experience with Synchro is an asset This is a full-time position (8:30 to 5:00, Monday to Friday) and will be based in the GTA, reporting to the Markham or Oakville office. However, this position will also include the opportunity to work remotely and therefore the successful candidate must be comfortable working alone and be able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
