An exciting opportunity has become available with one of our long standing clients based in the Perthshire area. This is an excellent opportunity to come join a forward thinking organisation who are going through a strong period of growth at the moment. KBM’s client is looking for an experienced Commercial Administrator to come join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Commercial Administrator you will be a key point of contact within the wider commercial team. You will quickly become a valuable asset to their growing organisation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. We are looking for a driven individual who has experience of working in a busy office environment. This would suit an individual who has a keen interest in Quantity Surveying or Estimating as full exposure to this area of construction will be available.

The key responsibilities include:

Support the Commercial Director, Senior QS with project costs

Monthly sub-contractor payment costs

Produce payment certificates

Support the wider team with tracking costs of labour, materials and plant for projects

Take responsibility of pricing smaller projects

General admin support for the wider commercial team (costs, budgeting and forecasting)

Ensuring all admin is documented and filing in the correct manner

Produce BOQ (Bill of Quantities for projects)

Liaise with clients, new and existing

The key skills / experience / knowledge required:

Previous experience within a busy construction commercial team

Previous experience of pricing projects, knowledge of BOQ

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Driven individual who can work independently and as part of a wider team

Proactive individual who has great personable skills
