* Establishes and implements a global supply chain for fiber optic, network, and coaxial cables, connectors, and accessories related to satellite TV, CATV, broadband, and wireless infrastructure industries.* Identifies reliable suppliers for foreign manufacturing of products at competitive prices.* Analyzes commodity prices to determine appropriate cost of products.* Liaison with Asian branch office and foreign manufacturers regarding product specifications, samples, quotes, terms & conditions, production, quality, and delivery.* Extensive travel to Asia to develop, qualify, and know suppliers.* Must exhibit expanded knowledge of Chinese culture and global trade.* Assist with other colleagues' travel to Asia or accompany them if necessary.* Meet Vendor setup requirements including documentation.* Collaborate with Purchasing Planner/Buyer and Sales as needed.* Supports Engineering Change, New Item Setup, and Product Acceptance (Quality) processes as needed.* Demonstrate support of the company Quality Policy and Continual Improvement.* All other duties as assigned by management.* Regular and prompt attendance is a primary function and requirement for this position.
