The Mechanical Engineer will be pivotal in both engineering and designing functions. Responsibilities include performing structural and performance studies using FEA and CFD software, analyzing materials for chemical compatibility and environmental resilience, maintaining and generating bill of materials, developing solid model designs and detailed product drawings, and supporting research and development activities. This role is for a self-motivated individual eager to design products from scratch and engineer them for real-world application.

Hard Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Niles, Michigan.

Work Environment

This role reports to the Engineering Manager and works alongside three other employees in the design department. Cross-functional collaboration with applications/sales and manufacturing teams is frequent. The workweek is typically 40 hours with no overtime, emphasizing work-life balance. The team operates in a family-like, supportive environment that values a self-starting attitude and cultural fit. Initial training will be thorough, with a transition to a more independent engineering role planned.
