As the OTC Process Owner, you will be responsible for directly collaborating with the Commercial, Manufacturing, and IT teams as well as with key stakeholders across the broader Finance organization. This person must be open-minded, innovation and process oriented, and able to speak the business language as we work through our continuing Finance transformation.It will be critical the person also work well in a cross functional, enterprise process-oriented organization.
Scope of Role:
- Create and sustain the order-to-cash strategy, roadmap, and action plan.
- In collaboration with the OTC Manger and Billing Supervisor.
- Work with the OTC Operations teams, and our businesses to introduce tools, techniques, practices, and analytics to further the performance of the end-to-end order-to-cash process.
- Engage to identify process and technology improvement opportunities in OTC; including reporting and analytics, related financial processes, and quality and cost-to-serve operating metrics.
- Lead OTC portfolio management including project sponsorship, initial chartering, collaboration on resource planning, budgeting, sponsor and executive committee reviews, stakeholder engagement, change agency and project closure.
- Engage with NCS finance, and business leadership (up through the executive level) in a multi-national/multi-cultural environment to gain stakeholder alignment and present project status, findings, and results.
- Work with fellow IT, Business and Finance teams to support NetSuite transformational initiatives.
- Engage to ensure the OTC processes / subprocesses are enabled and optimized through the NCS's NetSuite template.
- Research leading practices in the use of systems, tools, and processes to drive efficient and effective OTC practices and build them into the Finance process and technology roadmap and provide leadership to their implementation and sustainability.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the Finance and Business organizations to seek inputs on requirements and to socialize status / influence results.
- Build core NetSuite process and design elements knowledge via self-research, training, webinars and through benchmarking exploration.
- Support the optimization of NetSuite design, process, and automation enablement.
- Support NCS Business Services Ops / DSO with NetSuite gap remediation and efficiency solutioning.
- Sponsor and promote a portfolio for order-to-cash, coordinated across the other end-to-end portfolios with IT and the businesses to assure alignment with the Corp agenda.
- Provide regular project updates to executive sponsors, and the steering team on metrics, budget, and overall health of the OTC finance portfolio identifying areas for action.
- Document and manage risks throughout the project portfolio lifecycle.
- Refines and prioritizes tasks on the roadmap.
- Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis as needed to support business initiatives and shared objectives across Finance and the business.
- Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Ensure projects are delivered within a timeline, budget and deliverables are met.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
- +7 years of relevant process operations in a finance / shared / business services organization.
- +5 years of industry expertise in NetSuite / other ERP / OTC technologies.
- Transformation work in finance and IT systems is ideal.
- Work with multiple groups and cross function team experiences.
- Strong understanding of order-to-cash processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to operate in a complex / matrixed environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Executive engagement and influence.
- Problem solving, analytical skills, exceptional follow through.
