Job Description

You will install and maintain roofs across the campus, with a primary focus on hand railings. Your work will also involve various other campus facilities requiring sheet metal roofing installation or fabrication.
Job Details
  • Perform metal repairs on mobile or stationary equipment.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools.
  • Install door hinges, panic bars, thresholds, motorized projector screens and mounts, and toilet partitions.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, roof gutters, and overhead doors.
  • Install and repair roofing and flashing materials.
  • Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets.
  • Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, cements, rivets, solders, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
Hard Skills

Work Environment

The work environment is based out of a Fabrication Shop off-campus. The role frequently requires remaining stationary and ascending/descending ladders/stairs. It involves moving objects weighing up to 75 pounds and may require working during inclement weather when the department is needed to take care of the campus.
