Industrial Maintenance Technician Aerotek is currently hiring for an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Havre de Grace We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our plastics manufacturing operations. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems for extrusion lines, injection molding machines, and other specialized plastics processing equipment. Expertise in PLCs, three-phase motors, and automated systems is essential to ensure efficient and safe production. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for plastic extrusion and injection molding equipment. Troubleshoot and program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) for automated production lines. Maintain and repair three-phase motors, heaters, temperature controllers, and auxiliary equipment. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain product quality. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to optimize equipment performance. Document all maintenance activities and maintain accurate records. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred. Experience: 35 years as an industrial electrician in plastics manufacturing or similar environment. Skills: Strong knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and automation systems. Familiarity with extrusion lines, injection molding machines, and temperature control systems. Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues quickly. Other Requirements: Understanding of safety standards for plastics processing environments. Ability to work in hot environments and around heavy machinery. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated areas. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and machinery. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Havre de Grace, MD. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
