Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Pacific Hills Manor, Morgan Hill, California
Start Date: July 1st, 2024
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary Range: Up to $60 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Facility Type: Senior Nursing Facility
Bed Capacity: 99 beds

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients' speech, language, and communication abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapy services to address speech and language disorders

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients

- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed

- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding speech and language disorders and treatment strategies

- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in speech and language therapy

- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards by state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist

- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in speech and language therapy, preferably in a clinical or educational setting

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
