Sr. Technical Accountant Job Purpose

Reporting to the VP of Finance & Accounting, this position will be responsible for the monthly close process, technical accounting, audit support, GAAP reporting, day-to-day accounting activities and collaborating with the company's leaders. As the Sr. Technical Accountant, you will work with a team that operates in a fast-paced environment and have access to the top leaders in the company including consistent interaction with the CFO. You will have the opportunity to be a part of the company's growth, while further developing your accounting and reporting skills.

We are seeking a self-motivated, accounting expert who has strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail with professional verbal, and written communication, time management skills, accountability, prompt follow through and ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Sr. Technical Accountant Job Duties

Responsible for complex accounting areas such as equity, debt, leases, intangibles, revenue recognition, business combinations and financial disclosures Operational accounting areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end close, financial statement generation and analysis. Ensure timely US GAAP reporting and convenant tracking Research and prepare technical memos as needed Coordinate with third parties such as auditors, tax and valuation professionals Participate in systems implementation and process improvements

Sr. Technical Accountant Skills And Qualifications

4+ years of experience in accounting or auditing as a CPA, public accounting preferred Strong understanding of US GAAP and applying ASC codification to business operations Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client and personnel information. Excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills Experience with business combinations and/or healthcare industry preferred Ability to think proactively and operate in a dynamic environment that requires multitasking and prioritization of deliverables Mission-driven with a positive attitude
