Essential Job FunctionsThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance.Perform regular preventative maintenance on installed electromechanical equipment.Perform inspection on daily basis to determine startup problems.Repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.Repair and calibrate pneumatic assemblies to meet job specifications.Modify and adjust complex process equipment and instruments.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.Troubleshoot complex problems associated with electro-mechanical machinery by following precedential steps.Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintain knowledge of drawings, blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals.Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defectives parts.Install electric parts and hardware using equipment such as soldering ironsDetermines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.Diagnose issues with sophisticated control systems and employ tactics to resolve them effectively.Align and fit assemblies using hand and power tools.Maintains inventories of parts, equipment, and supplies by checking stock and handling ordering processes by liaising with vendors and suppliers.Fabricate replacements for unavailable parts until they can be procured from the vendor.Provides mechanical and electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.Trains production workers on routine preventative maintenance.Skills and QualificationsWorking knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.In-depth knowledge of systems and maintenance.Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.A clear understanding of AC/DC machinery and motor controls.Understanding of programable logic control (PLC).High school diploma or equivalent; with 5+ years of experience in maintenance, a 2 year Associate Degree in Industrial Mechanical Technician, or completed Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship.Certified in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field is a plus.
