HR COORDINATOR DUTIES:
  • Carries out Epworth Villa policies relating to all aspects of personnel activity.
  • Greets employees and guests, providing help with individual needs including basic questions relating to policy and benefits.
  • Greets applicants and provides general information about position openings and assists with application process.
  • Enters employee information and maintaining confidentiality regarding such information as personal data, compensation, benefits, performance reviews, licensures, and certification into Payroll/HR tracking software.
  • Updates benefit providers including but not limited to medical, dental, life, short and long-term disability, and 401K.
  • Coordinates termination paperwork and enters terminations into benefit providers systems. Ensures COBRA notification is submitted.
  • Sets up and maintains personnel files.
  • Assists with the planning and execution of new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Epworth Villa's policies.
  • Ensure new hire paperwork, including badges, is prepared for new hire orientation.
  • Provides time clock numbers and enrolls new hires in the time clock as soon as possible after completion of new hire paperwork.
  • Coordinates and keeps supervisors updated on the training needs for their staff in items such as CPR, TB, evaluations, licensure, etc. and maintains the required documentation for the state.
  • Responsible for I-9, including following policy and form completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS OF HUMAN RESOUCES COORDINATOR:
  • Must have good computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, experience with HRIS software preferred.
  • Must have ability to speak, read and write English when communicating with residents, resident families and co-workers.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years working in a human resource or administrative role.
  • Prefer associate's degree or higher in the Human Resource field.
