Marcum Search LLC is assisting our client located in the Bensalem, PA area in their search for a
Sr. Accountant
to join their growing finance division. Their Sr. Accountant reports directly to and will work closely with the Regional Finance Director and in collaboration and partnership with the Controller and Sr. Leadership Team. Their ideal candidate will be 100% onsite until properly trained, then there will be a 4/1 work opportunity.
Responsibilities
Coordinates the month-end close.
Maintains general ledger, including preparing financial schedules, writing journal entries, etc. Maintains cash schedules, inspects account status, transfers cash as necessary to cover disbursements.
Processes monthly close of all practices and management companies in an accurate and timely manner. Ensures accruals are made appropriately each month.
Reviews G/L coding on invoices before checks are released to ensure accurate coding. Works with practice administration to obtain all necessary information and explanations.
Ensures compliance with Management Services Agreements for all sites. Ensures accurate accounting for new practices including opening balance sheet, subsequent adjustments to B/S and MSA, etc.
Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported by valid detail. Reviews monthly Reporting Package for all practices for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness.
Provides various practice specific reporting as requested by leadership.
Ensures accuracy and completeness of fixed assets records including depreciation.
Assists in the annual budgeting process for practice. Maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to assigned responsibilities.
Maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, finances, and cost-effective health care delivery issues.

Balance sheet reserve measurement and accounting.
Self-starter, proactive and determined.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (with appropriate experience).
Practice Management/Health Services experience preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong foundation in accounting required, but candidates also demonstrating strong analytical/FP&A experience preferred.
CPA and or MBA preferred, though not required.
