As a Junior Buyer/Receptionist you will be working with our team to help purchase all of our necessary materials, supplies and services while considering price, quality and delivery. + **What you’ll do as a Junior Buyer** + Office reception tasks: Greet & welcome visitors, answer & direct calls, manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages, maintain visitor logbook & badges + New vendor set up + Process vendor credit application forms as needed + Creates purchase orders and ensures their accuracy + Maintains systems of ordering materials, supplies, and equipment + Takes independent action to ensure on-time delivery of material and initiates action for return of rejected or unsuitable orders + Responds to request for purchasing information + Runs open order reports + Contacts supplies in order to schedule or expedite delivers and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems + Works with A/P and vendors to resolve billing issues + Prepares and maintains purchasing files, reports and price lists + Requests quotes + Seeks out cost saving opportunities + Others tasks as necessary + **Junior Buyer Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree – Business Administration or related + Microsoft Office Proficiency + Adobe software experience + Good organizational skills + Time management skills + Self-starter + **Junior Buyer Preferences** + Procurement experience + Ability to negotiate + Familiarity with Deltek ERP System + SharePoint experience + **Company & Division Information** Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
