Electrical EngineerAs an Electrical Engineer, you will perform various analyses, design, and/or assembly related to electrical engineering projects. You will develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. You will collaborate with Senior staff within design engineering to produce tailored or new products. Your role will include analyzing electrical circuits to quantify performance margins or determine root cause when test failures occur. You will maintain records and employ Agile for coordination of change and manufacturing operations.Location: Portland, ORWe Take Care of Our People:Paid Time OffI 401K with Employer Match and Profit SharingI Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development OpportunitiesI Referral Program I Competitive Pay I Recognition I Employee Stock Purchase Plan I Inclusive & Supportive CultureYour Challenge:Collaborate with staff within development engineering to conduct review of engineering designs and documentation prior to release of designsUses computer-aided design tools (Altium) to create or update schematics and layouts based on existing products, incorporating design elements provided by senior design staff; Encouraged to create new designs, improve designs when appropriateDevelopment and validation of detailed Interface Control Documents (ICD) to meet system level interconnect requirementsIntegration of electrical and mechanical parts for customer specific applications; Coordinate with embedded software staff as neededPerform various operational or methods analyses related to MIL and AS9100 standardsCoordinate engineering changes and/or other specifications requirements; serves as technical liaison with program management, finance, quality, procurement, inspection, and manufacturingProvide input to work instructionsRegularly review electronic components for suitability and compliance to requirementsCreate and update manufacturing standard proceduresDrive continuous improvement in all process areasUse ERP system (SAP or Agile) to develop process and process flow improvements including LEAN, where applicableOther duties as assignedWhat you bringBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required4-8 years of electrical engineering experienceExperience in the design and layout of high-speed digital circuitry in Altium Designer version 23.2.1 or earlierExperience with Ethernet 1000BASE-T, USB2.0/3.0 or other high-speed digital interface designKnowledge of transmission line theory and practical design conceptsExperience with designs employing PCIeThe ability to use Altium advanced features (i.e., signal integrity modeler) is a plusExperience with MIL-STD-810x, MIL-STD-461x, or DO-160x is a plusFamiliarity with design or operation of network devices (switches and routers) and servers is a plusLaboratory experience is requiredStrong work ethic and commitment to customer supportDemonstrated skill to create drawings and specificationsDemonstrated skill in electronic and mechanical assembly principlesExperience with mathematical concepts (probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry) and application of design concepts to practical situationsExperience with power budgets and worst-case analysis methodsAccuracy and attention to detail is a mustAbility to multi-task and manage various project related dutiesWho We Are:Our ValuesEnvironmental, Social and GovernanceCurtiss-Wright Defense Solutions is Engineered to Succeed.
