Position Purpose

The HR Generalist will serve as a day-to-day resource in all areas of HR.This includes HRIS administration, employee records, benefits administration, and participation in our continual efforts to "Find a Better Way"-one of DWFritz' values that encourages innovation and continual process improvement.The HR Generalist must have excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle a multitude of assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The HR Generalist will need to provide excellent customer service both proactively and reactively.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with other members of the HR Team on administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provides an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters; escalates to senior HR staff when necessary.
  • Facilitates communication among employees and management by providing support and consultation regarding problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, litigation avoidance and strives to resolve internal conflict informally through appropriate conflict.
  • Provides guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding laws, regulations, policies, procedures and practices related to employee relations matters.
  • Assists with administration of the Employee Engagement Survey in an effort to achieve operational goals through survey follow-up and execution of action plans.
  • Partners and collaborates with Talent Acquisition Team when necessary, during times of high-volume recruitment and/ or community events.
  • Leads administering benefits by maintaining accuracy of benefits enrollments, terminations, COBRA administration, resolves billing and membership issues.
  • Assists with processing, tracking, and maintaining federal and statutory leaves of absence including ADA, WC, FMLA, OFLA, PLO and any other leave that may be appropriate.
  • Managing worker's compensation claim and communication with third party.
  • Prepares employment separation documents and materials, conducts exit interviews and ensures that each employee's exit is as seamless as possible.
  • Collaborate on departmental and organizational initiatives.
  • Maintains, and, as appropriate, distributes current employee information, policy and procedures manuals, and other communications.
  • Maintains digital employee and contract-partner documents and files this includes managing I-9s and ITAR documentation, records, and requests.

  • Possesses the organizational skills and sense of urgency to manage a high volume of work amidst priority changes and disruptions.
  • Perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive Human Resources issues and projects.
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or HR or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources role required.
  • Strong HRIS experience, preferably UKG.
  • Multinational work experience preferred.

Physical Demands
