Housekeeper/Nanny

Private family in Arlington, VA is seeking a reliable and proactive individual to join our household as a Housekeeper/Nanny. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our 4500 sq ft. home and provide childcare assistance. The hours for this position are Monday and Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:15 AM to 6:15 PM. Family has 2 cats and a dog. Mom works from home on Mondays and Fridays. Responsibilities: Childcare: Drive 4-year-old daughter to school in the am and pick her up at 4:30 or 5:00 PM. Engage in playtime and activities with the daughter after school. Prepare and serve meals for the child. Housekeeping: Full housekeeping duties, including but not limited to maintaining a clean kitchen, vacuuming, organizing, and tidying up. Complete all family laundry. Organize toys and play areas. Clean the litter box. Change and wash sheets as needed. Family has a deep cleaner every 2 weeks. Proactive Approach: Identify and tackle household projects without direct instruction. Take initiative in recognizing areas that need attention and address them accordingly. Grocery Runs and Appointments: Assist with grocery store runs. Drive mother to occasional doctor appointments with daughter since they only have 1 family car. Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must use own car with mileage reimbursment. Must be on time for pick up and drop off from school. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Proactive in identifying and completing tasks without constant supervision. Must be comfortable with pets. Calm and non-intrusive demeanor. Limited chit-chat approach, respecting the privacy and focus of the household.
