Job Description
Our client is seeking candidates for the role of Process Engineer for their growing non-union manufacturing facility of ~175 employees in the heart of Lexington. The Process Engineer will provide technical engineering support as well as associated processes through all phases of product development. The schedule for this position is generally 40-45 hours/week. This position will work Monday - Friday and has the option to work four 9-hour days and one 4-hour day (on Fridays) per week or the traditional schedule of five 8-hour days. Promotional/career advancement opportunities are available with this company.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing floor
  • Lead or assist with continuous improvement projects
  • Develop and document work standards and specifications. This includes training technicians on the new processes where applicable.
  • Assist in developing Bills-of-Material
  • Work closely with production to reduce job costs through analyzing job records, driving improvement activity, and benchmarking industry standards.
  • Designs fixtures and tooling as needed
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Possesses a High level of Mechanical Aptitude
  • Ability to read and create blueprints
  • Be engaging and approachable - strong interpersonal and team building skills to move projects to completion
Required Experience
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or very closely related major
  • 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (Internship experience will be considered)
